![]() Carl Howe (Anna), Newburg, PA four grandchildren two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren a brother, Raymond Benchoff and a sister, Donna Hovis, both of Waynesboro and many nieces and nephews. Louise Howe, Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Paula J. She is survived by her three children: A. She was a loving, charitable lady who always tried to meet the needs of those around her. Alma enjoyed gardening, reading, going to the YMCA, and above all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years, Alma received many awards for her outstanding dedication and service from her employers as well as from the organizations to which she devoted her time. She was a member of Trinity U.C.C., Waynesboro the Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary PA Association of Retired State Employees Blue Ridge Sports Association Civitan Club of Chambersburg, where she served as president from 1990 to 1991 National AARP American Legion Post#239, Cascade, MD, MADD, and the Whirly Birds of Waynesboro. She also volunteered at the Waynesboro Hospital and with the reading program at Fairfield Elementary School. After retirement she worked at Cracker Barrel Restaurant, Chambersburg for over 10 years. She retired from South Mountain Restoration Center in 1991 after 30 years of nursing. She went on to receive her LPN Degree, graduating from the Chambersburg Area School of Practical Nursing in 1968. She graduated from the Washington Township High School with the class of 1950. Born Augin Zullinger, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. (Benchoff) Howe, 85, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, Septemin the Waynesboro Hospital. ![]()
